Job Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will be a critical role and is accountable for developing great products through an expertise in web application design and development. This position reports directly to the VP of Product Development, and will work within small technology/engineering teams in the US and China. Hancock provides a unique virtual company experience that allows all employees to work from home. Compensation includes base salary, bonuses and stock options.

Position: Technical Customer Support Representative, Weatherization Software
- Handle a high volume of daily user support requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Triage incoming support and technical issues, effectively diagnose and resolve. Escalate issues to Tier II support only as needed. You will be responsible for handling 98% of all technical issues.
- Create end user documentation and recommend procedure changes to proactively reduce number of help desk requests.
- Provide feedback to the product and engineering groups on product related bugs, issues and recommended improvements.
Required Skills:
- You must be Customer Focused and have a love for helping customers and delivering satisfaction even when faced with difficult customers.
- Strong knowledge in using basic WEB based applications, knowledge of home energy weatherization technology a plus.
- Strong telephone, written communications and email etiquette skills, since all of the support will be provided either via telephone or email.
- 1-5 years of similar work experience in a support position.
- A positive attitude and friendly outgoing personality.
- Technical experience in weatherization programs and advanced computer skills.
- Strong oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in user-friendly language.
- Strong team player possessing the willingness to seek feedback, adapt practices and continuously learn and evolve.
- Ability to work independently in a home office.
- Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic: remain productive during slow times, be able to multitask effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
- Ability to prioritize and work responsibly without direct supervision.
